1 Sumendu or Mirik LakeSumendu or Mirik Lake :
The beautiful lake about 1.25 km long is the most attractive spot of Mirik Tourism Project. The depth of the lake varies from minimum 3 ft. to maxium of 26 ft. The walks on the 3.5 km long promenade around the lake is fascinating one. The 80 ft. long arch-type over-bridge across the lake is wonderful engineering skill of the project. Boating and fishing in the lake is an experience itself. The lake has lots of fishes.
2 Orange Orchard at Mirik, SoureniOrange Orchards :
Another breathtaking view are of the orange orchards. Soureni (a orange growing village in Mirik area ) gives huge production of oranges. Mirik is the largest supplier of oranges in West Bengal. The difference between the oranges of the plains and of Mirik lies in its juice content. Oranges from Mirik are extraordinarily full of juice and it is advisable to have some if the visitor happens to be in Mirik.
3 Rameetay Dara :
Rameetay Dara is for fabulous view of the plains as well as mountains. Beautiful view of sunrise and sunset can also be observed from this place.
4 Deosi Dara :
Another observatory point like Rameetay Dara for stupendous landscape view.
5 Rai - Dhap :
Rai Dhap can attain the posture of an ideal picnic spot for locals as well as tourists from different places.
6 Tea Estate :
There are eight tea gardens in Mirik area. Thurbo Tea Estate, one of the best tea estates is only 2 km from the lake. The miraculous view of the tea plants is breathtaking. The factory may be visited with the permission of the manager.
7 Cardomom Grove :
Cardomom groves can be seen anywhere near a marshy land.
8 Devi Sthan :
The famous hindu temple - "Singla Devi Mandir" is situated on the western bank of the lake. It is worth a visit here at this temple.
