Route 4
Darjeeling-Tiger Hill and back
26 km (1 Day Trek)

Route 4 (a)

Tenzing Norgay Road starts from Chowrastha and passes throug Toong Soong and Aloo-Bari villages. The road is almost level and there is no vehicular traffic on this road. It meets the Hill Cart Road at Jorebungalow. From Jorebungalow the road ascended to Tiger Hill is 5 km.

Route 4 (b)
Gandhi Road starts from Planters Club Motor stand. This road goes almost parallel to Hill Cart Road and meets the Hill Cart Toad near Ghoom Rly. Station.

The Tiger Hill is famous for the fabulous view of the sunrise over Kanchenjunga. On a clear day view of Kanchenjunga and Mt. Everest is just incredible.
On return march one can also visit the Ghoom Buddhist Monastery, which is hardly 1 km from Ghoom.
