Hillbillies which means "Decendents from the hills" was formed as a band in 2001. Their main motive is to spread the love of music all over.

As a band they believe in doing different kinds of music rather than sticking to a single label. They play from classics to Rock music and performs in both dialects of Nepali and English. Because of this diversity in the music they play, they are loved by people of all ages, from kids to oldies. Hillbillies wants to stay in the heart of everyone and create history in the musical world.

Till date, Hillbillies have been performing in Siliguri, Kurseong, Chowrastha (Darjeeling), Gangtok, Peling, Ghaiyabari (Mirik) and Namchi (Sikkim). Recently they are playing at the most happening place in town - The Buzz (Glenary's).

You can hear their first singles in the compilation album "Chakrabhiuh" and the other in Gorkha Rocks Volume II.

The band is grateful to The Buzz in Darjeeling, Mr. Ajit Basnet, Mr. Deep Arora, Chakrabhiuh, Gorkha Rocks, Jiwan daju and other studio members, Mr. Dhiraj Rai and all those who have always been there to support and encourage.
